Pogamut 3.1 RC1 (beta) aka Pogamut 3.0.999 information

As you know from News - Pogamut 3.1 RC1 is out. It is in beta stage. We are struggling with NetBeans plugin instalation.

Known issues:
  1. NetBeans installs some of the .jar files Pogamut needs wrongly. Resolve: Copy and replace PogamutCore.jar and PogamutUT2004.jar from \NetBeans 6.9.1\nb\modules\ext\ to \NetBeans 6.9.1\nb\libs\ ! Then template and example projects should work again!
  2. POSH bots do not work, because SposhBot.jar library that comes with installer is wrong. Resolve: Download correct SposhBot.jar library here and copy + replace it to \NetBeans 6.9.1\nb\libs\ and \NetBeans 6.9.1\nb\modules\ext\ .

How to set up UDK:
  1. Go to Download and install UDK with GameBots.
  2. Then run the game and through UDK GUI create GameBots server (there are some problems with creating the server through console right now)
  3. Connect to the server with NetBeans. Note that PogamutUT2004 example projects should work in PogamutUDK, but this has not been tested! (However, we recommend to use PogamutUDK template bot and enhance him with code from example UT2004 Pogamut bots)

That is all for now. Don't hesitate to ask further question!

Second installer version is out ( Download ). Issues with .jar files are resolved as well as with POSH. However it seems that installer does not work in Windows 7 64Bit version.
Ok, the problem is 64Bit Java. With 32Bit Java it works even on Windows 7.
Ok guys! Pogamut 3.1 is finally out (yeah, the word beta is gone). This means that the installer should work without problems AND all the example bots should work as well!
Yeah!

Everything is working except ... you can't easily run sample UT2004/UDK projects ;-( ... you can't "Run Project", INSTEAD you have RUN THE JAVA FILE with the SAMPLE BOT!

Cheers!

Jimmy
